- The Monastery is currently under the care of the Archbishop of Lagos His Grace Alfred A. Martins. The site of the Monastery is at Anthony Cardinal Okogie road, Sangotedo, Lagos.
- The spirituality of the Mater Ecclesiae Monastery is Eucharistic-Marian-Ecclesial based on the Encyclical Ecclesiae de Eucharistia and on the Inspiration of Saint John Paul II.
- It is an exclusively contemplative Monastery dedicated to perpetual Eucharistic adoration in prayerful support for the Holy Father, Priests and Religious.
Community
- The nuns of ‘Mater Ecclesiae’ Monastery always live as true sisters, showing reverence and respect for one another.
- They always have between them a spirit of supernatural love in service and obedience to themselves reciprocally.
- They hold in very high esteem the primacy of love for God and for others.

Prayer + Chant
- The principal and constant activity of ‘Mater Ecclesiae’ Monastery therefore, shall be the life of intense prayer, as a state of divine union that must penetrate the entire existence of the nun, that she may always live the presence of the living God as a constant exercise of faith, hope and charity; as a continuous dialogue of the Son with the Father in the Holy Spirit, and as the source of the entire life of the Community and personal life of the nun.
